Meet plastic surgeon Dr. F. Vegter

If you're looking for Dr. Kingma, you've found her. However, she has recently started using her own name again.

Dr. F. Vegter studied medicine at VU University Amsterdam. She trained as a plastic surgeon at VUmc. Since becoming a board-certified plastic surgeon in 2003, she has worked at various institutions, including the Slotervaart Medical Center in Amsterdam. There, she has increasingly focused on corrective procedures following significant weight loss.

At the Jan van Goyen Medical Center, she performed various aesthetic procedures for many years. “I think it’s important for a patient to know what to expect before the procedure; but it’s just as important to thoroughly discuss what isn’t possible. I set aside plenty of time during my office hours to address both of these aspects. To achieve the best possible result, I’m happy to go the extra mile, and I enjoy working with people who are also focused on providing an optimal experience for the patient and achieving the best possible outcome. When patients come in for a follow-up visit with a big smile, that gives me a great sense of satisfaction!”
