What types of facelifts are there?
Discover the different types of facelifts, from the S-lift to the combined neck and facelift, and what you can expect from each procedure.

Round, anatomical or ergonomic: there are many different types of breast implants (also called breast prostheses). Each type of breast implant has its own set of characteristics, such as different fits and sizes. Which type of implant suits someone best differs for everyone and depends on both your personal preference and your body. What types of breast implants are there and what are their characteristics? We explain in this article.
These implants are also called teardrop-shaped implants. Because of this teardrop shape, the lower part of the breasts gets more volume than the upper part. This creates a full yet natural result. This type of implant was in fact developed to achieve the most natural result possible. The anatomical breast implant is the most frequently chosen implant for breast augmentation at our clinic.
Unlike anatomical breast implants, round breast implants also give the upper part of the breasts more shape and volume. As a result, these implants give both the lower and upper part more volume. This results in fuller, somewhat rounder breasts and often in a beautiful cleavage.
These implants are relatively new in the world of plastic surgery. This new generation of breast implants are officially round implants, but they move with the position of the body. In a standing position, these implants take on the teardrop shape of anatomical breast implants, while in a lying position they take on a round shape. You could say that this type of implant is a combination of a round and an anatomical implant.
Whichever type of breast implant is chosen, safety and quality come first. Boerhaave Clinic works exclusively with safe breast implants from the brands Mentor and Motiva; these implants are approved by the RIVM and the government. All these implants are filled with cohesive gel. The advantage of this gel is that the breasts feel natural to the touch. Both Mentor and Motiva offer a form of lifetime warranty against leakage or rupture. This warranty applies under certain conditions and is linked to replacement of the implant. With your treatment you will receive a personal warranty certificate, which describes the exact conditions.
