About Dr. B.J. Putting
Dr. Putting completed her residency at the University of Amsterdam. She then spent five years working in general surgery and cardiac surgery in the United States, as well as at the LUMC and AMC.
She completed her training as an ophthalmologist at the LUMC, where she also earned her Ph.D. with a dissertation on light-induced damage to the retina.
As an eye surgeon, she worked at the OMC Haarlem until June 2019. In addition to her work in oculoplastic surgery at the Boerhaave Clinic, she works at the OMC Amsterdam. She applies the same precision to eyelid surgery as she does to intraocular surgeries.
With a craftsman’s eye, she assesses the symmetry of the eyes in relation to the entire face. As an ophthalmologist, she always takes the eye’s function into account. Dr. Putting specializes in upper and lower eyelid correction, levator plasty for eyelid ptosis, internal brow lifts, corrections for ectropion and entropion, and the removal of other eyelid abnormalities.
